Dear Linda,
I am writing to clarify restrictions imposed in my donor letter to the ABA Women
Trailblazers in the Law Oral History Project. I do not intend the restriction regarding
publication of all or a part of my oral history transcripts to apply to the Project’s plans to
deposit the oral history in the Library or Congyess, to include the oral history in its
display(s) or include the oral history on the Project website when it is constructhd. To the
extent the oral history is made available to others, I would appreciate the Project
providing a notice that my oral history, or any part thereof, may not be commercially
published by them without my express written permission or that of the administrator(s)
of my estate after my death.
I hope this provides a clear statement of my intent to permit the ABA Women
Trailblazers in the Law Oral History Project to use the oral history in its activities as
described above and to deposit it for reading and review at the Library of Congress as
described to me in our telephone conversations. Should you require more about my
intention, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dear Ms. Fleming:
I write in response to a recent telephone conversation with Linda
Ferren regarding my
ABA Women Trailblazers oral history. I am, by this letter,
authorizing the ABA to
release my oral history for publication by the Historical Society
of the District of
Columbia Circuit.
I understand that my original authorization does not otherwise
permit you to share my
oral history. I hope that the statement above is sufficient to
forward it for publication
by the Historical Society. Should you need any further
information from me, please
do not hesitate to contact me (see my contact information above).
Thank you for your attention to this request.
