I, Carrie Johnson, do hereby grant and convey to The Historical Society of the District of Columbia
Circuit, Washington, D.C. and its employees, agents, successors and assigns (hereinafter
collectively, “the Society”) the right to use the voice recordings (including but not limited to digital
recordings and cassette tapes) and transcripts of the oral history interviews I conducted with Phillip
Allen Lacovara, as described in Schedule A hereto, for the purpose of preservation and publication
of his oral history.
All copies of such recordings and transcripts are subject to the same terms herein provided.
I understand that the Society may duplicate, edit, or publish such recordings and transcripts in any
form or format, including publication on the Internet. I permit the use of such recordings and
transcripts in any manner that the Society considers appropriate.
I waive any claims I may have or acquire to any royalties from such use.
I will make no use of the oral history, or the information contained therein, until it is
ted and published by the Society, or until I receive earlier permission from the
