Ann E. Allen – Biography
Ann E. Allen spent most of her career as Vice-President and General Counsel of the American
College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (1982-2001). She then became General Counsel of
the Gynecologic Oncology Group, a national cancer research organization, from 2001 through
2012. Her earlier experience includes serving in attorney positions at the U.S. Commission on
Civil Rights, Micronesian Legal Services Program, and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Ms. Allen is now retired from legal practice. She is a mediator with the District of Columbia
Superior Court Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division. She received a J.D. from Columbia
University Law School, and a B.A. from Smith College. She is a member of the District of
Columbia Bar, and resides in Washington, D.C.
