Duties include overall supervision of clinical programs and externships, classroom
instruction and case supervision of law students in the Civil Practice Clinic, and teaching of
related courses such as Interviewing and Counseling, Law and Poverty, and Professional
Responsibility. Classroom instruction includes both skills training and substantive law.
Case supervision involves assisting students in the representation of low-income clients
with matters of general civil litigation.
Co-Director of European Summer Program 2008 — Present
On-Site Director European Summer Program 2006 and 2008
Responsible for oversight of summer program studying European Union law and law of
the Germany, France and the UK. This includes coordination with cooperating universities,
scheduling for the program and on=site supervision in Strasbourg, France and London,
England. Accompanied students on field trips to Brussels and Luxembourg and taught a
one-credit course on the European Court of Human Rights.

TC Beirne School of Law Spring 2001
First participant in the teaching exchange program between TC Beirne Law School and
Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis. Participated in the first session of a
lawyering practice program offered to law students in their final year of study to prepare
them for practice and meet the requirements for admission to the Bar.
PRAIRIE STATE LEGAL SERVICES, INC.
Managing Attorney 1979 – 1984
Management of a local legal service office serving six counties in Northern Illinois.
Supervision of legal work of nine attorneys and two paralegals; representation of
clients in State and Federal Courts and before administrative bodies; maintaining
statistics and financial reports for the service office; development of a local bar
involvement program; preparation of grant applications; coordination with local
funding sources.
Senior Citizen Attorney 1978 – 1979
Provided legal counseling and representation for Senior Citizens under a Title III
grant. Included representation in State and Federal Courts; community education in
areas such as Medicare, Medicaid and consumer problems; and working with senior
centers in a four county area.
FEDERAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION 1978 – 1979
Program Specialist
Reviewed and interpreted administrative regulations for the Individualized Assistance
program; responded to Congressional inquiries; developed a combined application
process for disaster assistance programs administered by three separate
government agencies.
’77 FLOOD RELIEF CENTER 1977 – 1978
Legal Counsel and Assistant Administrator – Provided legal counseling to disaster
victims and assisted in development and management of a program to
distribute financial assistance and crisis counseling to flood victims.
