Born and raised in St. Louis, Jules Atthut moved to New York City in 1995 to attend The School of Visual Arts, where he received a II.F.A. with honors in 1.999. ‘I’hc followrng ycar, hc was privilcgcd to tcccive guidance from Robctt Blackburn while attending the Robet Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. Since thcn, Mr. Arthur has bccn thc recipient of numerous awatds and has been givcn a commending review in thc Ncw York ‘I’imes for his “dcft dtaftsmanship.” Committcd to thc path of a lifelong student of life and art, he can be found frequentiy in
continuing coursc studies at the renowned Art Students League in New
York City. He states, “If one is to master the human form one must
remain in constant putsuit of it.”
