MacKinnon; Confirmed by the Senate on September 20, 1983, and received commission on September 20, 1983. Service terminated on May 26, 1989, due to resignation.

Artist
Chas Fagan is a self-taught artist who grew up in Brussels and graduated from Yale University. He was influenced by European masters, and his work includes portraiture, landscapes, and sculpture. One of his most noted portraits is of Mrs. Barbara Bush and her dog, Millie, which has hung in the White House. One of Mr. Fagan’s most notable sculptures is an 8 foot bronze of President George H. W. Bush, which is the centerpiece of a monument to the former President in Sesquicentennial Park in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Fagan’s works have been exhibited by the Shain Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the Metropolitan Gallery in Washington, D.C., and in the Somerville Manning Gallery in Greenville, Delaware.
