Jon R. Friedman’s portraits are included in numerous public and institutional collections in the United States and abroad, including the National Portrait Gallery, the U.S. House of Representatives, the National Academy of Sciences, the National Institutes of Health, the Carnegie Institute of Washington, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the California Institute of Technology, and Brandeis University. His landscape paintings and sculptures have appeared in exhibitions throughout the country.

Raised in Arlington, Virginia, Mr. Friedman received a BA in philosophy from Princeton University and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy with additional studies at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
