Few people have had as deep an imprint on the practice of law as Esther Lardent, who may be the most noteworthy lawyer you never heard of. Often dubbed the “Queen of Pro Bono,” Lardent transformed makeshift volunteer legal services on behalf of low income clients into organized programs that are now ingrained in the culture and everyday life of countless law firms.
